600mg x3 daily has helped with "wired but tired" hyperaroused brain state, it helped to calm and sleep. After improving in the areas mentioned above by different medication this supplement didn't do anything anymore, so I stopped. It was helpful over first 2 years of my illness.

helps to detox after a crash, i felt great for a few weeks taking it but then overdid it and crashed, i might try it again now i'm more stable.

I started taking this in the mid-90's and found it very helpful as a detoxing agent for about a decade. For another decade I took it regularly and it did no harm but did not seem to do much good. Then, about ten years ago, I suddenly found that it made me sick to take it.

It would make me horribly ill when I first started, but now, as I became better NAC actually helps.

Used it when I went off aspartame, to clear that out of the system. Felt dizzy and crappy at first (as expected), but it evened out. In the end, I feel it helped to clear the aspartame, but I can't be certain.

Helps a bit. Just don't take too much of it. Once a day is fine.

I think this helps with excitotoxicity/anxiety - I only take intermittently because these aren't as much of a problem for me now.
